Following 2 wins and 1 loss, in the 1st 3 rounds, the Stingrays finished top of the table with 20 points. In the Finals they defeated Inverell RSM (68-50), then Campbelltown(60-57) in the Semi-Final, and Corrimal in the final(64-52).

Congratulations to Greg Larkin, Mark Tyler, Neil Dell and Graeme O’Donnell on winning the season 24-25 men’s fours with a 24 to 10 victory over a gallant John Davidson, Greg Healey, Trevor Chalklin and Lou Robertson.
The 2023-2024 State Fours and Senior Fours at District level were played on 20th & 21st November. On Monday 20th the Senior Fours played at Ettalong BC and the Fours at Bateau Bay. The Semi-Finals and Finals were played at Ourimbah Lisarow BC on Tuesday 21st. Our entries were down this year for both events. The weather was good for both days.

The final was a closely fought match with the Bateau Bay ladies, Julie, Lynn, Dianne Edwards & Dianne Chalkin getting up by 1 shot over the Ettalong ladies Annette, Tamara, Sheena & Judy. What a game.
Congratulations to all players and well done to the Bateau Bay ladies. They now go to Charlestown BC on Sunday 26th to play in the Region 6 Playoffs.
Bateau Bay are the 2021 Zone Open Fours Champions. Peter McCarten, Jeff
Watson, Chayne Edwards and Rodney Rewko have claimed the Zone Fours
Title defeating Ettalong’s Glen Daley, Glen Simmington, Greg Shirley and
Lee Patterson 25-12. The score did not reflect the game as Patterson’s
team was leading earlier in the game but then the Bateau Bay boys just
played insanely well for the rest of the game.
We wish the Bateau Bay team good luck in the state finals later this year.
2 years in a row! Bateau Bay’s Terry Hughes, Gary Murphy, Bill
Constantine and Tony Shoebridge have won the Zone Senior Fours for the
second time in a row. This is an outstanding effort! They defeated
Terrigal’s Graham Vale, Peter Coombes, Doug Kirwin and Tony Swaine
30-11. Swaine’s team tried very hard to defeat them but just couldn’t
beat the raining champions.
Well done Bateau Bay and good luck in the state finals later this year.
