Today we saw history created at Bateau Bay, with Sam Griffiths taking out the Men's Major Singles final defeating Jim Power 25-15, in what was a dominant display and in the process becoming the youngest player ever to win the event at just 17 years of age.
Congrats to both Sam and Jimmy in what was a high class final, and played in great spirit.

As Bateau Bay singles champion Sam is eligible to enter the NSW Champion of Champion Singles to be played in Sydney in 2026.
The men's major singles final at Bateau Bay was played on Sunday 22nd September between Joel Nouws and Paul Mansell. In what was a close contest with the scores at one stage being 16 all, Joel was able to get the upper hand and go on to win 25 18, which gave him his first singles title at Bateau Bay. Congratulations to both players on what was an entertaining final for the spectators.

Tony Shoebridge from the Bateau Bay BC is the 2023-24 Zone 15 Senior Singles Champion who defeated his club mate Jeff Watson 25-11. Also pictured is Brian Millanta who marked the Final.
Peter Feros from Wyong Bowling Club defeated Peter Mak of Bateau Bay in the final of the 2022/23 Reserve Singles at Bateau Bay on Sunday 19th March 2023. Just 2 shots separated the two players in the end with Peter winning 25-23. Congratulations Guys.
A Champion bloke and now a NSW State Bowls Champion.
The 2022 Disability Lawn Bowls State Championship is the premier event for disability lawn bowlers in NSW. This event showcases some of NSW's best disability lawn bowlers as they go head to head for the title of State Champion. Results over this event will go towards selecting the NSW State Disability Lawn Bowls team to compete at the 2022 Nationals.

Congratulations to Bateau Bay's Tony Shoebridge on winning the 2021 Senior Singles final today at Ettalong. Runner up Kevin Cooper in a 31-17 tussle in overcast conditions.

A great game with some excellent bowls. It was great to see people braving the cold conditions to come down to the club and see it live.

The Final of the Major singles was a classic match with both the Champ
Darren Vetter and Warren Power playing a quality game. The momentum
changed back and forth with first Darren taking a lead followed by a a
spirited fightback followed by an almost match winning run from Warren.
Leading on 29 Warren was just held out by a close measure from taking
the match allowing Darren the chance he needed. A 4 shot end tied it up
at 30 all and then a Quality weighted shot saw the jack move to Darrens
bowls and Warren couldn’t manage a very difficult draw shot giving
Darren the hard fought victory.
Neither player flinched during the match and really the result showed
that bowls can be a game of inches. Well done to both players.

shared to two other group pages and to date has had 1.7k views giving
our club and these two stars exposure to a wider audience.
